Holding On

OHAI. I am in fact still alive and so is CS, but it’s been so slow because of school. Some of you may know that I’m currently enrolled in an early college entry program, thus I’m actually studying at university instead of spending junior year at my high school. It’s been pretty rough adjusting to dorm life and getting used to classes. I think it’s a lot of fun, though <3 The only problem is that it's so much work that I can't frequently update the site. D:

It’s almost winter break, which I’m super excited for. Also, as if I didn’t love college enough already, exams are before break, meaning my entire month off is solely for me to goof off and do as I please. Which makes me way too happy. So yep, I’ll be wrapping up hell week this week with tests in all my subjects and then I get next week off completely to study for finals. The week after that is where I will stress over exams like nobody’s business and then I’m home free. Literally. I haven’t added anything to the site today, but I felt like posting, since I haven’t in a while.

Just to raise the hype: It’s been a while since I last updated and I’ve been learning a bunch of new design techniques. Look forward to the new graphics and check out all the new styles I’ve been experimenting with! (;

LIBERTY

I am officially done with AP World & my AP exam. Never have I ever felt happier. And the best part is I’m closing the class with a 90! 8D I might actually get all ‘A’s this semester which will be absolutely amazing!

So now that I’m free, I should be updating a little bit more regularly. I’ve got a few more exams in two weeks and two the week after that. Then I’m off for my summer vacation. I’ll be in India, so I’m not sure how much I’ll be doing since I won’t have a photoshop program, but I still might blog a bit. This post really doesn’t have anything to do with anything, I just thought I’d let you all know I’m alive. d:

I Wear a Fez Now

I was going back through my blogs today and noticed how almost all of them start off with an apology for my inactivity. Welp, so will this one. Indirectly.
So that AP World History class I told you about earlier is totally kicking my butt, though in all fairness I doubt I’ve been putting in too much effort. Senioritis is kicking in really hard now and it’s super hard to fight it.. /: The big exam for it is coming up too, so like I’ve also probably mentioned earlier, I will once again come upon the fork in the road: one is blogging excessively to distract myself from things I have to do and the opposite, less exciting one is taking a hiatus until May 17. We’ll see what happens.

Anywho, I just got back from a State Latin Competition this weekend and it was absolutely amazing! I had so much fun with the team and we did all sorts of crazy stuff. I entered in the Derivatives, Mythology, and Pentathlon as well as competing in a Classical Civ. contest in Electronic Art (graphics). I came in first for my art entry, got sixth in derivatives, and a magna cum laude (with great praise) for my pentathlon score, which was super exciting. It qualified me for nationals, but I’ll be out of the country in the summer when it’s held. /: I’m still really happy, though. And surprised. I actually did the entire project two days before the contest.

MY DAD GOT ME TICKETS TO FLORENCE + THE MACHINE IN MAY. LIKE SERIOUSLY THIS IS A HUGE FREAKING DEAL. I CANNOT WAIT. I HAVE NEVER LOVED MY FATHER MORE. CAN YOU BELIEVE I GET TO SEE HER LIVE EXACTLY A MONTH FROM TODAY? I have it marked on my calendar and have been counting down the days.

P.S.—I’m done with requests. Not only is it a pain for me to keep up with, but people feel that I don’t come back and check to see if they kept the credit on. I’m sick of sending polite emails asking for people to give credit where it is due only to be ripped off again a month later. Honestly, I have no life, I’m bound to find out soon enough. So yeah, no more CSR. Us cowgirls are still debating Canvas, though, so we’ll see if that comes together eventually.
